Overview

Positive Zero partnered with Isuzu Motors International FZE (IIF) to install an almost 500 kWp rooftop solar system at its facility in JAFZA, supporting the automotive industry’s move toward more sustainable operations. Installed under a 20-year agreement, the system allows Isuzu to generate renewable electricity directly on-site, reducing emissions while making better use of existing infrastructure.

Highlights

This solar installation will generate approximately 15.9 million kWh of clean electricity, helping reduce the environmental footprint of operations at Isuzu Motors International FZE’s JAFZA facility while providing long-term energy stability. Across the full project lifecycle, the system is expected to avoid approximately 10,706 metric tons of CO₂ emissions, supporting Isuzu’s broader sustainability commitments and efforts to operate more responsibly as part of the global automotive industry.

To put this impact into perspective, the lifetime energy generated by the system is equivalent to powering around 1,438 homes or the environmental impact of planting more than 177,000 trees. By integrating on-site solar generation into its operations, Isuzu Motors International FZE is taking a practical step toward advancing its corporate social responsibility goals while contributing to the UAE’s wider transition toward cleaner industrial energy use.
